Any ideas for making this so it connects to nethack servers? I setup one recently at home. I can connect to it at telnet://shodan.synchro.net:2323, but
if I try it using *telgate it fails to connect, just sits there, no output.
the frontend i'm using it dgamelaunch, it's got terrible documentation, but maybe the source is better commented...

I'd like to be able to pass the login:pass as well, if you telnet from u*ix as
follows:
telnet shodan.synchro.net:2323 -l username:passsword
you'll see what I mean.

I have Dungeon Crawl set up like a bbs door. I haven't tried setting up Nethack though but I would assume you could do the same thing.
I've set up some MUDs before and used mudgate, but thats been a while
and i dont have any up right now.
dgamelaunch is not listening to port 2323?I can connect with any telnet client to telnet://shodan.synchro.net:2323, I'm running a similar setup as nethack.alt.org which is basically dgamelaunch which lets you run nethack or similar roguelikes over telnet. For some reason dispite being a pretty simple console game, you can't just run nethack/win through a FOSSIL frontend like NETFOSS. I'm sure if I had time to delve into the nethack code I could figure out why...
Port 2323 is blocked by firewall/not configured in router? It's setup, seems to work fine, I used PuTTY and SyncTerm to connect from the office to my home computer, no problems.
