well just found two bugs, in sbbs 3.17a (build date 9/4/15), main bbs (updated it today) :

first one, in the scfg - message areas - (any area) - group - at the import areas... - fidonet.na (fido)

did a import of a na file (here there no problem), went to
message sub-boards, out of about 151 echos, only one show up
(just before you ask it was sportnet echos - network name is sportnet)

second one, on the web server, main \ test bbs's, did a recyde (in the debug setting) here the output (on the test bbs) :

Where's the bug? It can be normal for a rebind to require a retry. Here's a FAQ on it: http://wiki.synchro.net/faq:tcpip#bind

I just reproduce the problem. Looks like a recently introduced bug (after v3.16c was released).

thanks, was going to send it over tonight (to dm) was a working today - also I was going to move it back to sync. sysop (somehow when I was useing my offline reader, the echo got changed, didn't notice it until I upload it and saw where it went and went looking)

I don't get that type of problem, unless you what the log level set at something other then debug, to find the error

looking now

looking at that page, that was on win. xp sp3 (with all updates) there no
other program runing on that port (there avg, apc program (http://www.apc.com/tools/download/index.cfm the PowerChute Personal Edition V3.0.2 for Windows 8; 7; Vista; XP; Home Server (Multi-Language), & logitech mouse program & firefox), on the main bbs (win. 7 sp1) about the same software plus trillain, bluetooth, Windows Live Mail & taurus (ftn)

Is there something else I'm missing?

(Multi-Language), & logitech mouse program & firefox), on the main bbs (win. 7 sp1) about the same software plus trillain, bluetooth, Windows Live Mail & taurus (ftn)

well just found two bugs, in sbbs 3.17a (build date 9/4/15), main bbs (updated it today) :

first one, in the scfg - message areas - (any area) - group - at the import areas... - fidonet.na (fido)

did a import of a na file (here there no problem), went to
message sub-boards, out of about 151 echos, only one show up
(just before you ask it was sportnet echos - network name is sportnet)

Are you sure the file is in NA format? Can you send me the file and I can see if I can reproduce the problem?

thanks, was going to send it over tonight (to dm) was a working today - also I was going to move it back to sync. sysop (somehow when I was useing my offline reader, the echo got changed, didn't notice it until I upload it and saw where it went and went looking)

yep, glad it did (move main bbs back to build date 8/19/15 (sbbs 3.16d) just to be at a safe version)

Unlikely. 0.0.0.0 means "all network interfaces", while 127.0.0.1 means "localhost". If your servers or services are listening on 127.0.0.1 (and no other network interfaces), then no remote hosts will be able to connect.

useing my test bbs (win. xp sp3), with dev build 9/9/15, web server on port 82 (I don't keep it on, unless I am checking someing out, I had the test bbs online for about 10 hrs.

I hit the web server recycle key only, here the window log file (in debug mode, unless you want it another setting)

Okay, so the problem is that the server keeps recycling itself. I see now that the mail server has the same issue, both introduced as part of the IPv6 patch set. Now fixed.
