• Idle Timeout

    From Hax0r@VERT/HAX0RQWK to All on Monday, December 04, 2000 18:39:00
    It would be nice if I could change the idle time out before a user gets dropped due to inactivity. Not remembering seeing such a setting in SCFG, I did a quick search of SYSOP.DOC for 'idle' and 'timeout' finding nothing that related to what i wanted to do...

    Try searching for "inactivity" instead. :-)

    SCFG->Nodes->Node 1->Advanced->Inactivity Warning/Disconnection.

    You'll find it in SCFG->Nodes->Node#->Advanced Options

    You can set both the warning time and the disconnection time :-)

    thanks... that certainly did the trick. I though I had all bases covered for words to search with, but I guess I didnt ;) I'm assuming that a 3.x setup will only look at the settings for Node 1 for this value, and apply it to all nodes?

    I figured it was in there somewhere, I just didnt want to dig for it.... especially using WinVNC, which is rather slow when it comes to text mode apps.

    scfg/node#/advanced options/inactivity disconnect.
    This will need to be set for each node.
