Do let me know how it turns out if you get around to it. I don't know about the weather where you're at, but here, it's fall all of a sudden and prime brewing weather IMHO.
( I should clarify, the link doesn't point to a recipe I wrote, but one that like a lot. Actually, it's the only schwartzbier I've ever brewed. )

I live in Southwest Michigan wine country, and this is when the grapes' sugar is just right to get picked, and pressed into juice for wine. Apples are
also getting ready for cider, then hard cider soon after.
There are loads of hops grown in my area as well. First it was Greenbush,
then Haymarket, Tapistry, Round Barn, and 3 Blondes moved in and hired up all the good amateur brewers. In the spring I like to make a ride up to Bells
when they begin to pour the Oberon.
